Newsletter for Week of Oct. 12

Newsletter for Week of Oct. 12

Welcome back! I hope everyone had a wonderful fall break and that everyone is ready to make our big transition back to in-person learning! Below are some important announcements for this week:

All Classes

Monday and Tuesday will be virtual. There will be no lessons or Zoom meetings. This time is set aside for you to catch up on any missing or late work from the previous weeks.

Please make sure that you have completed all assignments up to now. You do not want to come back to in-person classes while trying to make up virtual work!

We will be back in the building starting on Wednesday. Be sure to have your mask (and a spare just in case!) and, I cannot stress enough, try to be flexible and adaptive as possible. School will be different, but we can persevere and have an awesome time!

I should have more information tomorrow about how things will look from Wednesday to Friday!

English 4

If you are marked as in-person, you will continue class with me; however, if you have switched to virtual, you should have Ms. Keller.

This week will be a fairly easy transition for us. I will spend most of the week discussing classroom procedures and expectations now that we are in-person.

I will also further discuss Independent Reading for this month! Make sure you have a book to read!

AP Lang/Comp

Our transition will be a little more complicated. There will be no formal assignments this week. I will use this time to complete two objectives: discuss classroom procedures and expectations with in-person students and to discuss how class and Zoom meetings will continue for virtual students.

For virtual students, be sure to regularly check Remind, Classroom, and this site for info on when we will meet. As of now, our meetings will most likely occur during CARD time; however, if you are taking two AP courses, it is possible that our meeting times could be in conflict. Hopefully, more info will be released tomorrow!

Also, make sure you have signed up for AP Classroom and have registered for the AP Exam. It is imperative that you complete both of these!

I will also provide more info about Independent Reading soon! Make sure you have a book to read!
