Week of Jan. 27 Newsletter January Independent Reading Assignments If you were absent or missed the two assignments for this month's Independent Reading, the directions are below. Feel free to submit your work on paper or electronically! IR 1: 2020 Election Go to ProCon.org and click on 2020 Presidential Election to see a list of candidates and various information about each candidate and their views of numerous issues Independently read any information you like regarding the various candidates for at least 20 minutes Select a candidate you would be most likely to vote for and write a paragraph explaining why Take the election quiz found here List the top three candidates that match your stance on the issues Write a paragraph for each of the following three questions: Were you surprised with your top three picks? Why or why not? Which issue stood out to you for which candidate supported/opposed it? Do you think this is a useful tool to help educate othe
