Looking Ahead...

Honors English II

We have just finished up our unit on rhetoric and our major reading for the unit: Antigone. Next, we will move into research and MLA formatting. Our major reading will be the graphic novel Persepolis, a memoir about the author's childhood living through the Iranian Revolution of 1979.

English IV

We have finished our short story unit and will move into novels which will carry us throughout the rest of the year. Our first selection is Long Way Down by Jason Reynolds. It details a teen's decision to avenge his older brother who died from gang-related violence. Being written in verse, it is a very fast, and very fun, read!
